How to Add Infrared Sensor Library to Proteus 8 | IR Sensor

Hi guys, today I will share how to add an infrared sensor library in Proteus 8. The infrared sensor can be found in daily life and also in industries applications. The main components in the infrared sensor are an LED infrared emitter and the IR receiver diode.

Infrared Sensor Applications:

  • Thermometer
  • Night vision devices
  • Infrared tracking
  • Imaging devices
  • Flame monitors
  • Gas detectors
  • Etc

Steps:
  1. Download the Infrared Sensor library file at TheEngineeringProjects.com or click the link HERE. The download link will appear after 20 seconds.

  2. You will find four files on the downloaded zip file, named as:
    -InfraredSensorsTEP.IDX
    -InfraredSensorsTEP.LIB
    -InfraredSensorsTEP.HEX
    -Infrared Sensor Simulation.DSN

  3. Extract these four files and place them in the Proteus libraries folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Labcenter Electronics\Proteus 8 Professional\DATA\LIBRARY).

  4. Open your Proteus software and search for the IR Obstacle component.

  5. Double click and drag to add to the Proteus 8 workspace.

PV (Photovoltaic) Cell Technologies

Technology of PV cells can be classified into 3 generations:

1. First Generation  - Monocrystalline (Mono c-si), Polycrystalline (Polu c-Si) and Amorphous Silicon Cells

2. Second Generation - Amorphous Silicon (a-Si and A-Si/uc-Si), Cadmium Telluride (Cd-Te), Copper Indium Selenide (CIS) and Copper Indium Gallium Diselenide (CIGS).

3. Third Generation - Dye Sensitised (DSSC), Perovskite (cell) and Organic (OPV)

Solar Cell Equivalent Circuits

PV cell can represented using an equivalent circuit diagram:
Where;

𝐼𝐿 - light generated current
𝐼𝐷 - diode current
𝐼𝑆𝐻 - shunt current
𝑅𝑆𝐻 - shunt resistor
𝑅𝑆 - series resistor
𝑉 - voltage across the PV cell
