Today, I want to show the PIR motion sensor installation and review. The sensor is commonly installed at the entrance, bathroom, and closet areas. Thank ICStation for sponsoring the motion sensor.
Step 1: Installation
- List components to install the IR motion sensor are an IR motion sensor, LED lamp, 1.5 mm² wire, and extension plug.
- This picture shows a wiring diagram of an IR motion sensor.
- Connect the black wire of the motion sensor to the LED lamp live wire (brown/red).
- Connect the red wire of the motion sensor to the live wire (brown/red) of the extension plug.
- Connect the neutral wire (blue/black) of the LED lamp to the neutral wire of the extension plug (blue/black).

Step 2: Testing
- This picture shows the parameters of this motion sensor. Maximum height detects 3M, sensing angle 45°, sensing distance 3M to 6M.
- Turn the switch ON, and make some movement within the sensor range. After testing, I found this motion sensor not working in daylight or bright place. The LED lamp will not turn ON.
Bright place or daylight. - The first time the motion sensor detects the nighttime, the LED lamp will turn ON for a minute. If the person/object stands still, the LED lamp will turn OFF.
Darkplace or nighttime. 
After a few seconds, the LED lamp will turn ON. - This sensor is most commonly installed at the entrance, bathroom, and closet areas.
